Our founder, Jose F. Mori, emmigrated from Cuba to the United States in the 1950's. With no formal education and little prospects available for a non-english speaking immigrant, Jose began small handyman work and painting of residential homes in Miami. Through hard work and determination, he was able to slowly build up the company, portfolio, and experience necessary to take on larger and more demanding projects. 

 

His son, Joe L. Mori, and nephew, Carlos Placeres, began full time work with J. Mori Painting, Inc in the early 80's and they have pushed the company from a small commercial painter to one of Florida's premier commercial, industrial, and infrastructure coating contractors. Under their leadership, J. Mori Painting, Inc. actively performs work throughout the Southeast United States, including Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

While Jose F. Mori is no longer with us, the ethos he instilled in the Company and it's leadership lives on today.  Our belief to always provide the highest level of business ethics, commitment to quality, and safety culture extends from our founder. He reinforced these principles every day and as a result they make up the backbone of our company philosophy today.
